Travessia Leste

Travessia Leste was created by us in 1999, interconnecting old miners and farmers trails during 6 days and 5 nights inside the Cerrado covering more than 70km trekking between Alto Paraíso and Sao Joao D’Alianca. (It can be broken down in less days).

The route passes by the highest and remote areas of the Chapada dos Veadeiros. Viewpoints, amazing 150m tall waterfalls, magnificent canyons and valleys, and traditional communities. It’s a great opportunity to notice the endemic Carrado of Altitude vegetation with a possibility of finding native animals along the way.

We use 3 supporting points that provide food and shelter, all supervised by the Travessia Team.

Travessia Ecoturismo takes care of everything. Logistics, qualified guides, supporting team, food kits for the trails, satellite communicator for emergencies, tents and camping organization. The visitor can only worry about walking with their own light backpack and enjoy.
