Canyoning – Capivara
The canyon is located in the Kalunga community, Engenho II, in Cavalcante. Access involves 4×4 vehicles in our logistics and support from the Kalunga community.
It takes a full day to cover the activity and transfer transportation back and forth is needed. To actually start, we will walk for 1km from where the vehicle will be parked.
Before the activity begins, conductors gear up and instruct the group of all procedures and techniques to be used and do one-on-one training with all participants.
The Capivara Canyon has many green water pools and loads of water! Many swimming sections and 7 abseiling, with a whole bunch done in the water and another by the driest sides. The last abseiling is an 85m descent in the middle of water!
From many points you will be able to see the great Vao de Almas, the Kalunga’s berth.
We will come back by the trail used to access the old plantation region of the community.
After the whole activity, a stop at the Engenho community for a delicious meal prepared by the Kalungas.
